Huntstile Organic Farm Wedding // Caroline and Nick
knew as soon as I met Caroline and Nick and we chatted about their wedding plans over a coffee, one cold, winter evening that it was going to be AMAZING. When they described their Huntstile Organic Farm Wedding as totally relaxed, outdoorsy, and with a hog roast, I was hooked. This is exactly my kind of wedding and it did not disappoint.
Huntstile is such a gorgeous venue that mixes old buildings, outside ceremony space, and a modern marquee, all set in the most idyllic of grounds. And then on top of that there are farm animals, flower gardens and even gypsy caravans for really great photo opportunities. The venue also has plenty of accommodation so both the bride and groom were able to get ready on site. I love weddings that are all in once place as it makes the day flow more smoothly and it always feels much more relaxed. (It’s also much easier for me, logistically!)
As promised, the day was perfectly relaxed and uncomplicated. There were no bridesmaids or groomsmen; Caroline’s best friend was her ‘Maid of Dishonour’ and Nick’s sister gave the ‘best man’s speech’. I just adored Caroline’s lace dress and her beautiful garden and wild flower bouquet. I was also quite taken with the groom’s sharp Hugo Boss suit. It was also possibly the hottest day of the year, which meant that all the guests were able to fully enjoy their canapés and Pimms whilst playing outdoor games and exploring the working organic farm.
There was much to love. My highlights:
It was the first time I have shot down-range on a coconut shy – looking back, it was a bit brave considering I had my brand new Sony cameras, but anything for the shot, right!
In the evening we caught the very last of the summer sunshine when we took a trip in a beat up, old landy to the stone circle, with stunning vistas over the Somerset countryside. The light made for really beautiful couple’s session photos
The food. Best pork roll I have ever had!
Below are some of my favourite images from Caroline and Nick’s Huntstile Organic Farm Wedding.
Oooh pretty. Late September sunshine at this Pennard House Wedding with Emily and Nick. Grab a brew (or glass of wine) and go and check it out.
Marvel at this stylish and elegant Kings Weston House Wedding with Stephanie and John.
An autumnal engagement shoot at Westonbirt Arboretum = the most amazingly colourful pictures. See them in their full glory here…
