Engagement Shoot on Clifton Downs // Rebecca and Miles

I can’t believe I haven’t got round to posting these dreamy images from an engagement shoot on Clifton Downs taken last summer. Whilst we’re still layering up in ski jackets and woolly hats, it’s hard to remember just what a glorious, balmy summer we had last year, with the sun shining almost every day for months on end. Fortunately, these images sum it up perfectly!
Happy, smiling people in love
To be honest, this was more of a pre-wedding shoot for Rebecca and Miles, since we’d already got together in the autumn for their real engagement shoot at Westonbirt Arboretum. But who says you can only have one? I’m more than happy to arrange as many photo sessions as you’d like. For one thing it gives me a great opportunity to get to know you better and that really helps me get the very best pictures on your wedding day. But equally, it’s a great opportunity to take more gorgeous pictures of happy, smiling people in love.
Sun scorched Clifton Downs
This engagement shoot on Clifton Downs took place on the most blistering hot day. Certainly that evening the Downs looked more like a scene from southern California rather than the South West of England, what with the sun scorched grass and golden haze. It was actually the day of the World Cup semi-finals too, so the Downs, normally packed with picnickers, were completely deserted. This meant Rebecca and Miles were free to dance and twirl to their hearts’ delight in the long grass. I’m so happy with the results. (They look ace with the new website colour scheme too!)
